Keep your clothing and branding looking good.

The garment label and any decoration-specific instructions come first. These practical steps help protect fabric, print and embroidery.

Care at a glance

01 · Before washing

Turn decorated clothing inside out. Separate colours, empty pockets and fasten zips to reduce friction and snagging.

02 · Wash settings

Use the temperature and programme stated on the label. Do not assume that every garment or decoration can use the same wash.

03 · Drying

Check whether tumble drying is permitted. Excessive heat can affect fabric or decoration; reshape and air dry where instructed.

04 · Ironing

Do not iron directly over a printed design. Follow the label for heat settings and iron around decoration or from the reverse where suitable.

Understand the garment label

The wash symbol relates to washing treatment; bars beneath it indicate a gentler process. Drying and ironing symbols describe permitted treatment, while crossed-out symbols identify processes to avoid. Always read the whole label rather than choosing a temperature in isolation.

For a detailed reference, see the GINETEX care-symbol guide. If a label conflicts with general advice, follow the specific garment and decoration instructions.

Protect print and embroidery

Printed designs

Avoid rubbing or ironing the print surface. Keep harsh stain treatments away from the design and use only cleaning products permitted by the label.

Embroidered logos

Avoid pulling loose threads. Close fasteners and protect delicate areas from snagging; a laundry bag may help where the wash instructions permit it.

Hi-vis garments

Keep reflective areas clean. Follow the manufacturer’s washing limits and inspect the garment for damage or deterioration before use.

Storage and repeat wear

Make sure clothing is dry before storing it. Fold knitwear and decorated garments without sharply creasing the design, and keep items away from prolonged direct sunlight.

If you are unsure about a fabric, treatment or a damaged decoration, contact us with the product reference and a photo of the care label.
